All I did was scan artwork, I just could not work on layouts today... ugh. The icon is a picture I took at Copenhagen, which was a very nice city by the way. I enjoyed myself while I was over there, even if everything was closed. It was just a gorgeous city. I'll upload some pictures I took over there soon. The first piece was done with charcoal, the second piece with graphite, the third piece with graphite (the Olivia Wilde portrait in the art video, finally scanned), and the fourth piece is colored pencil on construction paper.

It's 6am and I haven't gone to sleep. And since I haven't gone to sleep, I say it's not Saturday yet. But it isn't Friday either, so I call it limbo. Yup. I still don't have the new layout up, and it may take a couple days. I'm a little tired of banging my head against the wall, you know how it is... I was going to update a lot sooner, but you know how it is... But it being New Years Day and all, I found the willpower to update. ;) I will update again tomorrow, the next day, the next day, and so on until Christmas Break is over... which isn't much longer, unfortunately. I made two pieces and three icons. I hadn't touched photoshop in a long time before this, and as always, the inspiration came back. Short, intense bursts of inspiration are all I get. *sigh* I also have 14 new light stocks for you. Wow! Here is a preview: I barely have any entries for the contest because I haven't exactly been promoting it, so I will extend the due date AGAIN for anyone who might want to enter. Wow. Nearly two months without updating. Sorry about that. =/ It is now the last day of Thanksgiving Break and I haven't done a thing. I was going to work on this site over the break, but that didn't happen. I went to China for 4 days (more like 2 days since the flight is so freaking long), but I guess that isn't much of an excuse. It's weird, all of my affiliates have been the same. Almost all of them have updated with 'sorry I haven't been updating...' or something like that. I've just had a lot of stuff to do for school and all, and mid-terms are coming up so I'll be even busier. I have science fair out of the way though, what a relief. After this is all over though and the 2nd semester comes along, I should be able to update more often. During Christmas Break, I'm going to devote a lot of time to this site and clean some things up, make a new layout, upload goodies and graphics and such, and basically revive the site. Since I have only received 2 entries for the contest, I will make the deadline January 1st and try hard to promote this contest/site more. What I'm thinking is that I update the site every day for one week with a little each day. After this, I might try what JF is doing and force myself to update ever week, even if I don't have anything to add. I think that was JF anyway. Whoever it is, I'm stealing your idea. xD I hope that those of you who had a Thanksgiving Break had a great one, and that those you who didn't have a break had a great weekend. See you soon! Woo, put up the contest 2 days late! Sorry. >__< Wow this keyboard is defective. And biploar. Sometimes it works perfect, sometimes it won't type question marks or periods, something it won't type <'s and >'s (which it's doing now, I'm copying and pasting all of them and it's such a pain), sometimes it won't type spaces, sometimes it doesn't type m's or v's, and it never types a capital M with shift (you have to use caps lock). So I've been talking toyaweoefriendslikethis off and on for a couple weeks now. Oh, and Ctrl+V doesn't work either. *sigh* Anyway, the new contest theme is fictional movies and you make posters for movies that don't exist. Check it out! Woooo she's back and in ACTION! YEAH! No not really. I have nothing for you, unfortunately. I just thought I should try to explain my absence. You wouldn't guess what happened. Wanna guess? No? Okay. School happened. It's not like I have an absurd amount of homework either, though that's what's taking up a lot of my time. It's just that it leaves you so drained and exhausted you don't really feel like doing anything. And that includes HTML and photoshop and annoying FTP programs. And I'm VERY sorry for abandoning the contest, I've extended the deadline to October 1st and I will try my best to judge and have awards done by then, and also another contest. I'll have to make the contests last longer, though. Also, I'll try to have some goodies and stuff up soon... So yeah. That's pretty much it. School sucks. By the way, The Dark Knight was AMAZING. Aaand sorry for being such a bad affie, I will try to start commenting on your sites again. 08/08/08 - Hahaha awesome date.
Well I'm back from Japan, and it was so much fun! Unfortunately, I have a lot of things to do now, especially with school starting in 3 days. *headdesk* So I probably won't be able to update in a while, but I'll try my best. I did draw some stuff though on the 11 hour flight *more headdesking* so I might add those soon... Anyway, since I'm a bit busy at the moment, I'm going to have to postpone the judging for the contest. I'm sorry if this causes any inconveniences! =/ I'll postpone it another month for now. I know I promised the coding tutorial for today, but blah... I'd by lying if I said I was busy, I really wasn't. I was just lazy. -.- I'll be working on it, though. I think the problem is I just got really tired of coding, so maybe if I print it out and handwrite the tutorial first, it'll work better. I have some art for you today, but basically I wanted to update because I will be in Japan for the next three weeks. So this is a farewell, I guess. *wave* I've made 5 new icons, and I'm actually kind of proud of them. I could never really make grundgyness work with icons before, I think. I also have two new traditional art pieces: Overflow and Two Perspectives. I also made one photo manip. Let me know what you think! Well, that's about it for now. Sorry again, and I hope everyone is having a great summer break! 7/07/08 - Lots of GoodiesCan anyone explain to me what the point of having both a tagboard and Haloscan would be? :P That would be great. *is a bit confused*  Now for the goodies, woot! I did a BUNCH of stuff, and I still have so much more. O_O I recently took pictures at Connecticut, too, so expect another huge wave of new goodies. I have added a BUNCH of new icon textures, replacing the suckish old ones, one new brush set, made a separate page for light stocks and added 4 new ones, added an old brushes page, re-did a bunch of image packs, and a bunch of other stuff you probably don't care about. :P  And that's it! Expect more soon. I'm actually working on a basic coding tutorial, and I'm halfway done with that, so I'll probably have that done for the next update. 7/01/08 - New Contest !!!

As you can see, I've put up the winners/awards of the first contest, Disney Gone Bad. Congrats to all the winners! Oooommggg *dies* I am so tired. If you don't know already, 2 days ago I came back from a trip to China. We were going with my mom though, who's a flight attendant, so we could only go for 3 days. Oh, and 3 days = 1 day. You know why? Because the flight is SIXTEEN HOURS LONG HOLY CRAP. *dead* So yeah, I've been going to bed at about 10am and waking up at 5pm for the last two days. I'm going to actually try to stay up today, though, if I can. Anyway, I think you've noticed, but I decided to try out haloscan again. I think haloscan was having issues before, so hopefully all that random annoying crap won't happen again. Oh and guess what? A NEW GOODIES LAYOUT AHHH. Yes, the caps lock was necessary.  I also made 3 new textures and wrote 1 new tutorial on how to make textures.    That's it for today. More updates soon! 6/24/08 - Boored.
Ugh, is it just me or is summer break really, really, REALLY boring this year? Everyone I've asked has said the same thing. It's insane! I don't have much to update with today, but I can definitely promise huge updates in the very near future. For today, I have an updated about me page, 3 new entries for the contest (from Shadowcat, ellie_girl, and Lexi), 3 new avatars, 3 new textures, and 1 new affiliate:  ^Beautiful State is a really cute graphics site, go check it out! =) Anyway, that's it for now. [EDIT :: Woah! I just realized that today is (or was - it's 1:26 AM) my site's anniversary. BtRD is officially 2 years old, woohoo!] Sweeney Todd is my latest obsession. Woopee! I would suggest it to everyone, but if you don't do horror/gore/depressing stuff, well, you probably shouldn't watch it. The music is amazing though and it's just an awesome movie in general. And yay for Helena Bonham Carter. Anyway, I have three new blends, and as you may have guessed, they're Sweeney Todd related.    I also made Round 6 of the battle between Jess and me, based on the TV show 'Six Feet Under'. And woot, 9 new entries from Brittany, Aramel Elyanwe, Turwaithiel Swann, Aliana Fae, Pirateoftherings, Inwe Calaelen, Telpeath, Pandora, and Eruedraith_Suiadan. Yay for huge updates. The biggest addition today is... *drumroll* A contest section! Wohoo! Check it out. ;) I'll only have one contest per month for now, but I might increase the amount as time goes on, and hopefully, the site gets more traffic. The contest this month is 'Disney Gone Bad', where you make a blend about a children's story and make it look like a horror and/or gore fest. I have one amazing entry from Jess so far. I have also totally revamped the 'fiction' section. Instead of linking to my dead forum, the writing is on my server. Woot! I also have one new texture, shown below somewhere... I also have a bunch of new art, including one new banner, three new avatars made from the banner, a new blend, painting, and photograph:     Aaanndd that concludes this update. I downloaded Haloscan, which is awesome. But there's a problem - It really really REALLY slows the site down sometimes. It will seriously take a whole minute for my site to load because it's "waiting on HaloScan.com". Sometimes it works just fine though. Is it Haloscan's problem or mine? Also, sometimes the comment link will just disappear for no apparent reason, but it'll be there other times. If you might know what the problem is, let me know. I have 2 new affiliates. They are Spontan Kur and Whispers of the Muse. They're both gorgeous sites, so check them out! =) I am starting a new battle with Jessica about TV Shows, and here is my volley. I also added 2 old banners to the banners section, 3 new photos, and 4 new traditional art pieces (the photography and art are below).

Well I'm back. This is actually going to be a pretty decent update. I know, crazy. Ugg I need sleep. I've gotten about 10 hours of sleep in the last two days. Ugh I hate how this happens. My inspiration isn't constant, it comes in short, intense bursts. Oh well. At least I updated. And *gasp* I actually changed the layout! After NINE FREAKIN' MONTHS. HOLY CRAP. Has it really been that long? Anyway, this layout is based off of one of my favorite movies Fight Club... If you haven't seen it yet and you like weird, amusing, and violent movies with awesome endings, watch it. It's awesome. :D I also got a first place award for most unique graphics from AU. *feels special* Oh, and the battle between Antigone and I is officially finished. Oh, btw, I am SOO EXCITED about the people they cast for Twilight. I love Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson is a great choice. Woot! I'm back! I lost my muse again, but now it's back! Thankyou, Milla Jovovich. =P I've started working on the next layout (I'm just figuring out the coding now) too, so that's a huge improvement. Also, I'm thinking of making BTRD a collective/blog for me... I was thinking of making an art section of the site like I do with goodies, and then I got the collective idea. Hmm. I think I'll do it. Anyway, onto the art. 30 Seconds to Mars: Self-Titled :: This is round 4 of the album battle between me and Bubs. I decided on the self titled album by 30 Seconds to Mars. I guess it's alright. Wooow. Guess what I did today? I joined fanlistings. A LOT of them. It seriously took up all of the time I had today. And go figure. I told myself I was going to do my homework yesterday. Procrastination is not a good habit to get into, kids! I actually updated the rest of the about me page too. Go check it out! The FL links are fancy now, too. By the way, I'm still not done with the FL craziness. There are 5 new icons too, but they're just old avatars that I missed last time. You know you've been photoshop a bit too much lately when you highlight something and try to un-highlight by hitting Ctrl+D. (Just a random thought.) Oh, and I forgot to tell you... I got a dA. =D I would also like to welcome two affiliates... Eternal Sunshine and Damage! I'm actually re-affiliating with Eternal Sunshine because I thought she died and I took her off. I'm baaack! I bet you'll be glad to hear that I have cleaned out my affiliates section, deleted some linkbacks, renamed all the brush set filenames, and I did a little rearranging thing in the stocks and textures sections so that the lighstocks are in the stocks section! Why? Because lightstocks has the word "stock" in it, so I thought it would be a good fit. Aren't you so excited? In other news, my C key has now popped off, making it a total of 4 keys missing from my keyboard. Great! Okay, now onto news that you care about.
The stuff in my icon is actually made from my brushes... The flower brush is coming soon. *gasp* You must be thinking, "MORE BRUSHES??? HOLY CRAP!! I DON'T THINK I CAN TAKE IT!!" *sigh* Just say you did, you know, to boost my ego and make me think that I'm psychic. It'd just be a nice thing to do. Oh yes! I almost forgot. I have now officially written 2 pages of Chapter 3 of my vampire story. Who wants chocolate? 11/24/07 - Tutorial & Art
Hey everyone! I hope you had a nice thanksgiving. As for me, I played Rockband and Guitar Hero and my friend's dad cooks awesomely, so it wasn't too bad. =P Oh, and I know I mentioned earlier that I was going to make a new layout, but I actually like it right now and don't really feel like changing it...
